چکیده
In this paper, a prestressed precast reinforced concrete (PC) beam–column connection incorporating posttensioned debonded partial tendons is introduced for PC frame structure. Compared with the conventional cast-in-place frames and many previously proposed connections frames, has advantage of self-centering low damage in strong earthquakes. addition, can reduce posttensioning demand further site labor during construction repair. order to establish performance evaluation method ultimate flexural limit connection, an analytical model was developed accurately reflect deformation compatibility force equilibrium conditions beam column members, as well tendons. Based on this, iterative direct methods strength connections, strains tendons, were developed. The verified by cyclic loading test subassemblages. It concluded that sufficiently accurate simple be applied engineering design, helpful guarantee low-damage characteristics against earthquake.

Nonlinear Damping Identification in Precast Prestressed Reinforced Concrete Beams
This article presents a damage detection method for prestressed reinforced concrete (PRC) elements based on free vibration tests and nonlinear damping identification. Integrated static and dynamic experiments were carried out on three precast PRC beam specimens. The static loading induced different levels of damage to the beams. At each damage level, impulsive loading was applied to the beams a...
متن کاملFlexural Behaviour of Precast, Prestressed Ribbed RPC Bottom Panels
This study introduces a new type of precast, prestressed reactive powder concrete (RPC) bottom panel for a large-span composite slab. The bottom panels, which have one or two inverted ribs with openings, act as formwork during the construction stage. The paper experimentally investigated the crack characteristics, deflection, and normal section bearing capacity of four precast, prestressed ribb...
متن کاملOptimization of Precast Prestressed Concrete Bridge Girder Systems
60 A practical approach to the optimal design of precast, prestressed concrete highway bridge girder systems is presented. The approach aims at standardizing the optimal design of bridge systems, as opposed to standardizing girder sections. Structural system optimization is shown to be more relevant than conventional girder optimization for an arbitrarily chosen structural system. Bridge system...
متن کاملAdvantages of Large Strands in Precast/Prestressed Concrete Highway Application
The objective of this research is to investigate the advantages of using large-diameter 0.7 inch prestressing strands in pretention applications. The advantages of large-diameter strands are mainly beneficial in the heavy construction applications. Bridges and tunnels are subjected to a higher daily traffic with an exponential increase in trucks ultimate weight, which raise the demand for highe...
متن کاملHeuristic optimization of prestressed concrete precast pedestrian bridges
This paper deals with the economic optimization of prestressed concrete precast pedestrian bridges typically used in public works construction. These bridges are made of a precast concrete beam that integrates an upper reinforced concrete slab for the pedestrian traffic. The beam has a U-shape cross-section. Typical span lengths range from 20 to 40 m and the width ranges from 3.00 to 6.00 m. Th...
